adopting a career-changed service dog

Not every dog has what it takes to become a service dog, and sometimes that doesn’t become evident until months or years into their training and development. We do our best to find a home that fits every one of our dogs, even if that means finding a home that just wants a loving pet rather than a service dog.

Our dogs can be released from our training program for medical or behavioral reasons. While some deficits that preclude them from becoming a service dog do not make a difference in pet life, some of them are still a factor to consider when adopting them. Please fill out this form if you are interested in being notified when one of our dogs is looking for a pet home.

The price (or lack thereof) is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the deficit and how much it will impact the dog’s life as a pet.
